Winter is coming
If you are staying in Singapore, there is no sight of winter – other than Orchard Road during Christmas, and it is not something that you have to dress for.
But I do know that if you are travelling, honey, the cold winds are coming. In fact, the chill is coming even earlier this year *ahem* global warming *ahem*.
So, I want to ensure that you are wrapped up well – not like a burrito but like a tempting Christmas wrapper. I logged on to the trusty Shopbop and yes, I found irresistible winter accessories that make me want to go on a winter holiday to experience winter wonderland as well.
Here are some of my favourites!
Eugenia Kim Paulina Faux Fur Cashmere Hood
For some of you, this will look a teeny-bit odd but oh, this is so useful when you just want to look like a cute Eskimo lady and not have your beanie slipping off your head. I absolutely love fur framing my face but without the need to wear the whole coat. Plus, this little hood can match with my other winterwear – because it’s black. I always go back to black!
Moschino Leopard Logo Poncho
I love a little item that can elevate the status of my outfit. For winter wear, I usually buy very safe colours because I don’t live in a country that experiences the four seasons. Therefore, black is my go-to colour. When I saw this poncho, it sang to me, and I knew that my look will draw attention (the good kind) with this leopard print, part-wool poncho that I can just throw on my all-black ensemble.
Apparis Manon Faux Fur Jacket
When all is calm and all is white, I do want some colour. Lately, I have been onto soft pinks and rose gold. When I saw this plush faux fur jacket in this colour, my heart skipped a beat. Walking around in the cold would not feel so bad if the furriest blanket is embracing you, right?
Acne Studios Vichi Skinny Scarf
Other than colour and texture, I like a little fun in my clothing. This lightweight wool weave scarf is just what I need because… do you see the baboon with a banana in a thinking bubble? Too cute. It spells character on an otherwise boring piece of clothing. If I am sick of showing it off, I’ll tuck it in my coat – but let’s be honest, I’ll never get tired of showing off an embroidered baboon on my scarf.
cupcakes and cashmere Cher Jacket
If I want to feel expensive, this jacket will do the trick. I love the plaid detail and how I can easily throw this over anything. Oversized clothing is a staple this season and what better way to answer the call of fashion than this mid-length, single-breasted coat?
There you have it, the five of my most wanted pieces for my winter getaway. I know I can always count on Shopbop for my fashion needs. So tell me, are you going for a winter vacay?
