Journey through Artbox Singapore Trade Day 2025

A new era of creativity, connection, and fun.

Life has a funny way of reconnecting people when you least expect it. Back in the early days of People’s Inc. 360, Kent – founder of Artbox – was one of our advisors as we explored social commerce. While our paths diverged when we pivoted to martech during COVID, we stayed in touch.

Fast forward to last year, Jacintha invited me to an event where I bumped into Kent. A casual catch-up led to me cheekily asking him to keep me in mind for any exciting events. True to his awesome nature, he did just that.

When Kent reached out about Artbox Trade Day 2025, I knew I had to be there. And wow, what a day it turned out to be.

A new era for Artbox: Trade Day 2025

Artbox has always been a hub of innovation and creativity, but this year’s Trade Day took things to an entirely new level. Held on January 16, 2025, from 4pm to 10pm at Singapore EXPO Hall 4, it marked the debut of a groundbreaking initiative connecting lifestyle brands with creatives through panel discussions, flash mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Big names like MOS Alvin Tan, Dr. Jason Leong, and Priscilla Abby graced the stage, inspiring attendees with their insights and experiences. Meanwhile, content creators and media friends gathered to lend their support and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.

Ben and I attended together (though Jac and I missed each other due to her house viewing – life happens!), and it turned out to be a day full of surprises, creativity, and connection. From the sleek lilac Dongfeng Box cars to intricate chess pieces that blurred the line between art and design, every corner of Artbox held something unique and captivating.

Even as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy crowded spaces, I found myself completely immersed in the experience – it was a reminder of why some events are worth stepping out of my comfort zone.

Exploring Artbox onsite activities

Of course, the experience didn’t stop there. Artbox Trade Day 2025 was packed with activities that engaged all the senses. Here are some of my favourite highlights:

Matcha and milk tea heaven

If you know me, you know I have a sweet tooth. The matcha and milk tea stalls were absolute perfection – creamy, refreshingly cold, and just the right amount of sweetness. I could’ve easily spent the entire evening hopping between stalls for another round!

DJ vibes

The DJ booth added an upbeat energy to the event, creating a fun and lively atmosphere. The beats were the perfect backdrop, energising everyone as they explored and networked.

Open mic adventures

The open mic session was a delightful mix – some performers hit all the right notes, while others… let’s just say their enthusiasm was contagious. Either way, it was heartening to see so many people boldly take the stage and share their talents.

Dongfeng box quiz challenge

Ben and I spent ages at the Dongfeng Box car display, trying to crack their quiz. It wasn’t easy, but that was part of the fun! It was a smart way to highlight the key features of their stylish vehicles. Plus, the lilac-coloured car? Love at first sight.

Shopping and stalls galore

Artbox truly lived up to its reputation as a shopper’s paradise. The variety of stores was incredible, offering everything from lifestyle products to quirky knick-knacks. What really stood out was the thoughtful setup – no blazing sun meant we could comfortably enjoy browsing without worrying about sweating like crazy.

Ben, my creative powerhouse

While I’ve always been more of a techie, Ben‘s artistic flair really shone at Artbox. He has this incredible ability to envision and execute concepts, especially when it comes to video production. Watching him turn simple moments into compelling visual stories was nothing short of inspiring. His creativity adds a layer of magic to everything we work on together, and I couldn’t be more proud.

Why Artbox matters

At its core, Artbox is about more than just art or commerce – it’s about connection. Whether through the Trade Day panels, the vibrant onsite activities, or the inspiring conversations sparked throughout the event, Artbox fosters a sense of community and collaboration that’s hard to find elsewhere.

If you couldn’t make it to this year’s Trade Day, don’t worry – this is just the beginning of Artbox‘s evolution. And if you’re looking to elevate your brand with creative visuals or impactful campaign activations, Ben and I would love to help. Together, we bring the perfect blend of creativity and strategy to bring your vision to life.

Art and creativity: Where tech meets vision

I’ve always admired art, but I wouldn’t call myself an artist. Sure, I can draw, design, and sketch, but I’ve always identified more as a techie. Ben, on the other hand, is pure creativity. Watching his video productions – the way he plays with typography and cuts footage – is both inspiring and humbling. He brings a perspective to creative work that I might never think of, and together, we make quite the team.

Introducing our creative studio: Where vision meets execution

Ben and I are thrilled to announce that we’re running a creative studio together! While he focuses on video production and the artistic side, I handle client relations and campaign strategies. It’s a perfect blend of art and automation, creativity and communication. Whether you’re looking for compelling videos or full-scale campaign activations, we’ve got you covered.

At the end of the day, events like Artbox aren’t just about experiencing great art – they’re about connecting with people and finding new ways to collaborate. If you’re looking to elevate your brand with creative visuals and impactful campaigns, drop us a line. Let’s create something extraordinary together.
