Lunar New Year reflections: Alignment, growth, and new beginnings

The Lunar New Year always feels like a fresh start, a time to pause, reflect, and set intentions for the months ahead.

This year, it’s been especially meaningful, filled with moments of clarity, exciting milestones, and opportunities to realign my focus.

Not everything unfolded as I had hoped. A new partnership I was exploring didn’t pan out before it even got off the ground. While part of me felt disappointed, I wasn’t unhappy. After a reflective session during The Beyond huddle last week, I came to an important realisation: Not everything is meant to work out, and that’s okay. What matters most is alignment – finding the people, projects, and opportunities that truly resonate with who I am and what I value.

This shift in perspective has been empowering. It’s allowed me to focus on what’s already in front of me – amazing projects that light me up – and let go of the need to “shop” for new ones. I’ve realised that when the right opportunity arises, it will naturally present itself. For now, I’m choosing to pour my energy into what’s already blossoming.

Creative sparks and big wins

One of the most exciting parts of this season has been collaborating with Ben on our (mini) creative studio.

It’s been such a rewarding experience seeing him thrive – he’s already landed his first two gigs and has been incredibly proactive. Watching his energy and enthusiasm reminds me why I love building and creating alongside people who inspire me.

Beyond that, so many of my other projects have taken off:

Finding my dream home: After months of searching, I finally found a place that feels just right (hopefully, I get it). It’s a space that reflects the next chapter of my life, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Crypto to Freedom Challenge: This initiative was such a rewarding journey, and seeing it come to life has been incredible.

Seraphina AI: What started as an experiment has grown into a real project with so much potential. It’s amazing to see the possibilities of AI expanding in ways I never imagined.

AI Social Media Content Creation: These experiments are gaining traction, and while there’s still room for growth, it’s been fun optimising and fine-tuning the workflow.

Speakers Society memberships and marketplace: Slowly but surely, these are building momentum, providing valuable insights into what works and what needs tweaking.

People’s Inc. Influence campaigns: While these are still in the early stages, the progress so far has been encouraging. Every step forward is a step closer to streamlining the process and scaling effectively.

These milestones remind me of the importance of celebrating progress, no matter how big or small. Each success, experiment, and lesson learned is a building block for something greater.

Lunar New Year celebrations

Amid all this momentum, the Lunar New Year celebrations were a beautiful reminder to slow down and enjoy the present moment. I had a lovely reunion dinner with Ben‘s family, which felt warm and grounding, followed by community celebrations that brought so much joy and connection.

This season is all about gratitude – for the people in my life, the lessons I’ve learned, and the opportunities ahead. It’s a time to honour the past while embracing what’s to come.

Realisations on attention and focus

One theme that keeps coming up for me is the importance of attention – where I choose to direct my energy and focus. Starting ads for the Crypto to Freedom Challenge is a perfect example. It’s a new avenue with so much potential, and I’ve found myself genuinely enjoying the process of responding to queries. It’s given me a clearer sense of direction and reinforced the value of being intentional with how I spend my time.

This Lunar New Year has been about aligning my actions with my intentions, focusing on the people and projects that matter most, and trusting that the rest will fall into place.

Looking ahead

As I step into this new year, I feel grounded, inspired, and ready to embrace whatever comes next. It’s not about chasing opportunities but allowing the right ones to find me. With so much already in motion, I’m excited to see how these projects evolve and how I continue to grow alongside them.
