Social Star Awards and Singapore Social Concerts 2013

The term “social media” is widely use these days, sometimes wrongly even. From Social Media Week to seminars, conferences, and now, awards and concerts. I’m totally pro-social media, in case you’ve misunderstood. What annoys me is when people refer a static HTML website that basically does no interactivity whatsoever as a “social media marketing” tool. I think the word “social” says a lot. People, GOOGLE IT – “social media meaning” – or you could just refer to Wiki, which is as accurate as it gets for the average person, I suppose.

Anyway, coming back. The Social Star Awards is held on the 23rd of May, and Singapore Social Concerts is on the 24th and 25th.

This year, Seven lucky “Superfans” are set to join their idols at the Social Star Awards at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The Awards, dubbed the “Oscars of Social Media” are hosted by Jessica Alba and will feature performances from Aerosmith (my personal highlight), Carly Rae Jepsen, PSY and others.
