🎤 Strangers, familiar faces, or a full house - what's your stage preference?

Speaking to a familiar crowd feels like karaoke with friends - comfortable enough to wing it and still deliver a solid 90 percent.

Now, speaking to strangers? That's like stepping onto a concert stage. The stakes are higher, anxiety creeps in, and even with practice, the pressure can hit hard. Performance levels can drop by up to 30 percent - yes, nerves are that powerful.

I felt this at Nas Summit, standing on the main stage in front of hundreds. To make things more interesting? I had a stomach flu.

I pulled through because I promised to show up. Surprisingly, I wasn't as anxious as expected. Maybe it's the years of practice, or maybe I just love talking. But honestly? My energy dipped, I missed a beat or two, and I wasn't at 100 percent.

What helped? A lesson I learned from @garyvee:

💡 Manage your energy.

✔️ On stage: Go all in - give it 100 percent.
✔️ Off stage: Conserve, recharge, and reset.

Watching Gary switch from high energy on stage to calm composure off stage was a game-changer. It's a balance I'm still learning - because whether it's 10 people or 1,000 strangers, stage time demands preparation, practice, and support.

Friday's Christmas party was such a highlight 🎄 - a night of laughter, connection, and shared joy.

But after the celebrations end, life brings its own complexities. Relationships shift, and sometimes, we lose people we thought would always be there. It's tough, but I'm learning to let go with gratitude, even when it hurts.

After my divorce, I leaned heavily on the friendships around me. Some stayed, others didn't, and it's been a journey of rediscovering my purpose and place in the world. Right now, I'm working toward something bigger - starting with the vision to create schools for the underprivileged.

Along the way, I've had some incredible moments - being part of the @nassummit, meeting amazing people from all walks of life, and using my skillsets to help those around me. Yet, despite these highlights, there are still quiet moments when I feel like I'm searching for where I truly belong.

Healing isn't linear, and purpose doesn't erase the need for connection. I've realised it's okay to grieve and take time to rebuild.

Running a business is hard 😥. Balancing it with life? Even harder.
